Health advocates know very well that chemical deodorants and anti-perspirants and harmful to your health. Try switching to essential oils. Just a drop or two of oils like Mirrh, lavendar, rosemary, and sandalwood mixed with a splash of water can be applied under the arms and all over the body. You’ll smell great and stay healthy.

Follow up a meal of rich and fatty foods with a cup of fennel tea. Just cut a bunch of fennel and place it in hot water (just boiled and removed from heat), then drink up. It will help with digestion and gas and also tastes great.

Do you know what two oils provide the most Omega-3 fatty acids? The answer is Flaxseed oil and hemp oil. Both are high in the good fats and low in the bad ones. Flaxseed is the best, but hemp oil also contains GLA oils, which makes it a great second oil to have around the house. Use these oils on salads, potatoes, and steamed veggies…and keep them refrigerated.

Pears have the power to reduce blood pressure. A great way to take advantage of this is to make a kind of hot tea from pear pulp. Just remove the skin from a ripe pear, mush the pear into a pulp and add hot water.

As many yoga instructors know, getting blood to your head is a great way to increase your brain activity, circulation, and overall health. If you hang your head over your bed, strike an inverted yoga pose, or stand on your head…you’ll be stimulating your circulation, getting more blood to your brain and activating your lymphatic system all at the same time. Plus, it helps you to feel younger…if only because we feel like kids doing it.

A tasty recipe for PMS relief can be made from whole wheat or brewer’s yeast (vitamin B6 and fiber), walnuts (vitamin B6, omega-3), pure chocolate (calcium, magnesium), and flaxseed oil (omega-3). There must be something yummy you can make with these ingredients!

Those little juicy jewels inside the pomegranate are not the only part of this fruit that is healthy. The skin of the fruit can be dried and used in tinctures and extracts, as it has anti-bacterial qualities. It’s great as a throat spray and helps avoid colds and flues.

Many protein and healthy food bars include berries and other fruit in them. Unfortunately, many of these come from dried fruit sources and most dried fruits are loaded with sulfite preservatives. That means the entire food bar is compromised. Read the labels carefully and make sure the added fruits are organic if possible. Sulfites are poison, even if you’re not sulfite sensitive.

If you give your baby sugary, sweet foods and juices in this period, your child will likely crave sweets for the rest of his or her life. Look for juices and baby foods that are not sweet — whether naturally or (especially) artificially.

But what you might not realize is that some products that are not even sugar free contain the stuff — just look on the label the next time you purchase breath mints or chewing gum. It’s a real shame that non-diet products include this poison!

If you end up over doing it in the alcohol department, try this mixture to get your body back into good running order: Start with a glass of tomato juice or vegetable juice and add a teaspoon of spirulina, liquid vitamin B complex, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Next empty two capsules of Milk Thistle, two capsules of garlic extract, and two DHEA capsules and drink up.

To clean up water that has micro-organisms, bleech or heavy metals in it, simply expose it to the sun for half a day (or a full day if partially cloudy). Put the water into a glass container with no lid and leave it in a safe, dust-free place in the sun. Glass milk containers work very well. According to many studies, the sun’s ultraviolet rays can kill up to 100% of the germs.
