Review: NanoGreens 10

NonoGreens10 is pretty much like a lot of green drink formulas (suggested comparisons appear below). It is heavy in grasses and the “spirulina/chlorella duo,” although like most green drinks, you can’t really tell how much spirulina/chlorella is in the mixture, since all three (barley grass, spirulina and chlorella) are grouped into a single category, called Greens Blend.

This mixture is very high in fillers, which consist of rice bran, oat beta glucan, and lecithin. All together, these fillers total 59 percent of the mixture. Of the rest, 51 percent (21 percent of the total) is the “Greens Blend” and the remaining 49 percent (or 20 percent of the total mixture) consists of green & white tea (and extract), fruits (blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, etc.), veggies (broccoli, tomato, spinach, carrot, kale, etc.), and a smattering of special herbs (pine bark extract, aloe vera, cinnamon, milk thistle, marigold). I love that pine bark extract is represented here, but we really don’t know how much is in there, because the quantity is hidden in the label.

For the price of $3.93 per ounce, it’s an acceptable product, although not overwhelmingly impressive. Compare with Amazing Grass, which is cheaper, but has fewer ingredients, Greens First, which is a slightly more robust formula for a slightly higher price, Greens Pak, also a slightly more robust formula, and ultimately Green Vibrance, a more robust formula for about the same price.

  1. What do you know about Juice Plus? I read alot about it in the Wikipedia and didn’t sound all its hyped up to be. I have a client trying to get me to sell it…it is a mlm product. Really like your comparison charts… good work… lynn

  2. I too would like to know your take on Juice Plus. I have suffered from heart palpatations due to stress/adrenaline my entire life. Therefore anything that contains a stimulant, like chocolate, coffee, etc. is a trigger. I am now in my 50’s and overweight. I would love to find a product I could take that is stimulant FREE! Any suggestions? Roxy

  3. I really like the taste and mixing ability of Nanogreens. I have many patients who love Nanogreens and take it daily.

  4. It’s interesting that this one is compared to Greens First. I understand that the same guys that formulated greens first also formulated this one about 5 years later.

  5. Hi went to chiropractic and I was sit and saw nanogreens10 drinks I wonder is this drinks is good ? I m overweight and working and I been take whey protiens long awhile ago I was heavy weight and take why protien and wroks then I stop then got the job working then second year working 3 shift andfelt I gain weight now I m starting take whey protiens and I look for something different or give me a idea !!!

  6. I notice that this site doesn’t mention the special nano-encapsulated lipid delivery system, which makes the nutrients in this product incredibly more bio-available than other products. If your body can’t absorb the nutrients, it doesn’t matter how good it is, does it? Not sure about the “fillers”, but in my case, fiber is a very good thing!

I’ve been taking NanoGreens now for 3 years or so and I would hate to be without it! I believe it’s been instrumental in helping heal my intestine, improving my diet, and boosting my energy. It’s the first green drink I’ve tried that’s not only palatable, but tastes pretty good! My husband, who wouldn’t have dreamed of taking something like this otherwise, is also now hooked. He’s seen a dramatic improvement in his heart function & overall health since his heart attack & 5-way bypass in 2007, which I’m sure this product has contributed to.

  7. As a Chiropractor, I highly recommended nanogreens to my patients for their overall health needs. Not only are the patient testimonials endless but the shake taste great, especially the new strawberry! My patients regularly show me their test results of lower blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol. I tried all of the other recommended shakes and found their taste unpleasant.

  8. Oh I am so Sorry to hear your little one has been sick.. That is no fun!! I do hope she is benningig to feel much better… This is Adorable as always and you know I am going to have to give this one a try… :)
