Are you looking at the same product as the rest of us?  There is no mention of MSG or any preservatives on the label. Perhaps you are looking at a different version?  Also, regarding the Vegan claim (which is on their website), you may be thinking that the Lactase is a dairy product, but this can be created in a laboratory environment which is many times removed from the bovine source. It is considered to be vegan by all but the most fanatical of vegan vegetarians.</description>
